Hopesfall begin recording 2007 release

Hopesfall have entered the studio to begin work on their next full length and first since 2004's A-Types. The album marks the recorded debut of new drummer Jason Trabue.

The band is planning to integrate more of their influences into their post-hardcore sound, alluding to grunge-era Smashing Pumpkins, Dinosaur Jr, Hum, and Pixies as well as promising "bigger, heavier riffs"

The band is currently at Vudu Studios in Long Island, NY with producer Mike Watts (As Cities Burn, As Tall As Lions) working on the follow up to A-Types.

No, he's right, they are horrible.
i had never checked them out...and i just went to their purevolume page...and it's pretty much cookie cutter crap.

Also, why didn't it make the news that Ben Seaver from growing pains is in this band?

Thank you, these guys are nothing special, but the Fred Savage thing was always entertaining to me just because of how much it sucks and how awseom growing pains was.

Basically, post-hardcore is music that somehow (I don't know how) manages to make hardcore EVEN MORE BORING THAN IT ALREADY IS. I guess not having every single song being about the scene and how every single person you know is a backstabber means you can't be a regular hardcore band.

Their latest album was a fucking cop-out. Still sounds like a pretty decent rock band, though. Just not Hopesfall.
