When the hell did VH1 get all of this punk rock street cred? I remember when MTV was playing Nirvana, Beck and Beastie Boys, they were playing Heart, Lionel Ritchey and WAM!

Well, keep in mind that VH1's target demographic is 10-15 years older than MTV's, and it's been 10-15 years since Nirvana, Beck, and the Beastie Boys were all over MTV.

Yeah, Hard Rock. That's so fucking stupid. "I'm sooooo hard rock, I think I'll throw on London Calling and be hard rock!" I wish these shows would stop trying to be cool. Who will The Clash, Black Flag and Bad Brains be next to on this "great" list? Cinderella, Motley Crue, Molly Hatchet and Bon Jovi?

If anyone has digital cable (the kind with a box) from Charter, there are a bunch of Minutemen and Bad Brains concerts from the early 80s on channel 996 (the free on-demand stuff) right now.
