Dim Mak signs Willowz

Dim Mak Records have signed "Southern California garage-punk forebearers" the Willowz. The band is set to release their Dim Mak debut Chautauqua on March 20th and is currently preparing for European tour early next year.

willowz are the most authentic thing in rock music right now. dont pass them by without a serious listen. i am really excited for the new album! i saw them a few weeks back at spaceland in LA best live show ive seen there by a LA band all year no doubt.

they had to change their name really early on due to copy write reasons. band names are band names maybe if you heard them you would have a opinion but obliviously you haven't. ive too have seen them live at fuck yea fest this year and they blew the crowd away. their guitarist is a mad man major drugs i think. haha

Though I was underwhelmed with both their Contaminated Records single, and their Sympathy For The Record Industry LP, I must say this band is pretty fucking good live. Also, Their bass player is so very hot. The Z at the ind of the name is pretty lame though, but whatever.

Their last album was top 100 in 2005 for Rollingstone. they can bring it but are snoozxers most of the time.

Blood Visions is alright. I like his stuff with Angry Angles better...not to mention all his past stuff with the Reatards and Lost Sounds.

it was the rolling stone top 50 greatest records of 2005 not 100. and they were the only band on the list on a indie label(SFTRI) the only band on that list that recorded their record by themselves in a garage and didn't have a 100K and up dollar budget. true rockers.
