I haven't listened to the Hard-Ons but they must really suck for that statement to be true. Being from Atlanta, I can't escape the damn Heart Atacks. For a while it seemed like they opened every show here, which may say something for their work ethic but doesn't cancel out the fact that their music and live show are shit. Bad out of tune glam-rock played by a bunch of jackasses who didn't have to live through the 80's and bands like poison, warrant, etc. No Thanks.

I would go to this to see the queers if it was coming to Atl but I'd show up late.

i don't know anything about them other than owning their new cd. to me it's invoked more new york dolls or johnny thunders than hair bands. but yes, the hard-ons were a lot of noise.

You live in one of the greatest cities in the country, where bands constantly make a point to stop and play. You've got it sooo hard buddy. Talk to one of the kids on this board who lives in some small town in North Dakota or Wyoming where they have to drive a couple hours just to see a band. Sorry, no sympathy here.

i'm not asking for sympathy. but just so u know, the queers show got canceled. and no, bands never make it a point to come here. in fact, they make it a point to AVOID chicago (and the smoking ban doesn't help either) - best example: the adicts; on the rare occasion that they to come to this area, they always go out near joliet or some shit. i usually have to drive about an hour, or take the train to bumblefuck, IL, which takes about 2 1/2 hours, just to see a show. i know the car ride isn't as bas as yours, but it still sucks. so no, we don't have it that good over here.

and by the way: take a look at the tours that get posted on here for good punk bands. how many of them skip over the chicago area? a shitload.

It's a new place. Just opened a couple of months ago. I haven't been there yet, so I can't tell you if it's any good or not. I've heard good things about the place though.
