Media: The Queers post another new song

The Queers are now streaming another song from their forthcoming Asian Man release, Munki Brain.

You can stream "I Think She's Starting to Like Me" at the band's MySpace page.

Munki Brain will be available for dissection on Feb. 6, 2007.

Asian Man has also begun reissuing albums from the band's catalog, which started with this past year's Love Songs for the Retarded. Beat Off is scheduled for release the same day as Munki Brain and will be followed up on March 13 with Move Back Home.

The band themselves will also be releasing a DVD entitled Queers Are Here on Feb. 20, 2007, which will include live footage, behind-the-scenes tour "craziness," interviews, music videos, and an unreleased animated video.

You don't know anything. this band is from 1983 and they still rock and tour more than any jerk off band that takes two years to write a record. this band is great if you wanna jump up and down and have a blast. The cover song will be Rockaway Beach.

I'm pumped for Munki Brain I've been listening to the Queers since I was a little kid, and these new songs sound like they follow the tradition of some of the band's best stuff. Hopefully they play a good bit of the new album live since they've been touring their asses off the last few years.

Fuck yes, the new album and remastered Beat Off on the same day, and just in time for my birthday! The new version of Steak Bomb sounds fantastic, I can't wait to hear the rest. And the new songs they've posted so far sound great too. Hopefully I can catch them in DC next month with the Riptides.

i have it on silkscreened vinyl. its nice, the record itself is actually silkscreened so you can read through the clear disc.

Well, the Queers don't sell records. I'm sure Joe thinks they're Green Day and blames every label he's been on for not being a rock star. I'm sure Hopeless didn't want to deal with his shit, either.

I think it's very telling that the Queers were the only band that didn't take their catalog away from Lookout to go to a bigger, better label.

firstly i don't think Jade Tree were as big as Lookout in their prime

In their prime, no. Jade Tree's never sold as many records as the Green Day catalog did. In recent times, like, since the late 90s, Jade Tree's hands down a bigger label.
Did those bands take their catalogs? I'm not talking about signing to a smaller label, I'm talking about actually taking control of their past releases.

Actually, The Queers sell a lot of fucking records all around the world, and Hopeless did not pay their dues. They steal so much money from bands on the label. Ask any band that has ever had anything to do with that shitty label.

And hopeless doesn't have worldwide distro, so what they sell in other parts of the world is irrelevent. I'd guess they haven't had a record that's sold more than 10,000 in 10 years.
And I've never heard a band complain about Hopeless. Most bands that complain about getting ripped off by their labels, are bands that aren't breaking even and can't figure out why.
