"Smoking Popes members Josh Caterer, Mike Felumlee and Eli Caterer have joined forces with John Sewell of Kidsnack to form Duvall. Duvall is Josh Caterer's reentry into rock since the Popes breakup in early 1999. The music focuses on Josh's experiences since the Popes. The shows highlight his new songs as well as a number of "classic" Popes tunes. For the latest news as well as mp3s of the band, check out http://www.smokingpopes.net/duvall"

It doesn't really matter if he lyrics are still up in the air as to what they're about....josh still writes amazing songs, and Duvall sounds just like the popes...how can you go wrong with this band.... plus, even on "Destination:failure" there were songs abou god...nobody knew until later...if you didn't care until you found out then, why care now...come on, "I know that you love me..." is one of the best popes songs and is about jesus....but it's not obvious, so don't bitch... Jimi

What can I say...... 1. The Popes kicked so much ass this is the best bit of news I've had all year (ok my year's sucked) 2. Let's hope they get a new album out within the next err few days. 3. and that they tour the world. I think the chances of them actually doing lots of touring again is quite small as if I remember that's one of the reasons they split (along with the Christian thing)
