Anti-Flag will be stopping in at select stores of popular Canadian skateboard retailer West 49 during a cross-country tour to sign exclusive posters and meet with fans.
West 49 is encouraging everyone to bring a warm, dry, blanket, coat or anything else to help keep those warm who need it. Items collected will be donated to various local youth shelters across the country and everyone who makes a donation will receive an exclusive poster for the band to sign. There will also be a drawing for an exclusive Anti-Flag skateboard deck.

good idea, but autograph sessions are so ridiculously pretentious. play a free show and get drunk with your fans instead of making them pay for you to write your name down. 3+ Replies

Really? A Skateboard retailer? A capitalist pig skateboard retailer? In shopping malls that are run by the Man? 3+ Replies

In protest, Propagandhi will be holding autograph sessions in dark alleyways and abandoned warehouses all across the US. 4+ Replies

i plan on never listening to their music so as not to sway my opinion of them. they do some good things, socially that is.

And so the reason these autographs are so sought after, because Anit-Flag refused to sign autographs years ago. 2+ Replies

Yeah sure, next Against Me! is going to sign autographs at the GAP and ask that you bring a can of refried beans for the starving. Haha what a joke. 3+ Replies

You faux-idealist cynical little internet scabs have no right to complain aoubt Anti-Flag here. They're giving a reason for a large group of people to help humanity. The fact of the matter is, people respond to autographs and chances to meet their favourite bands. And if more people are in attendance, more can be done for the homeless. But so many of you are too wrapped up in bitching about this "celebrity status" that you don't care to even think for a moment about those who are stuck sleeping outside in boxes in the middle of the cold winter. I hope those of you who bitch aobut Anti-Flag's noble efforts get caught out in the cold for a good month. Your so called down to earth idealism won't help you then. 2+ Replies

I remember the day when this band was anti-autograph! if you asked for their signature, they would write fuck anti-flag. Now they do promos and even if for a good cause, they do it for publicity. No band on major does anything but for such a reason. Its called marketing folks and this is called caps lock to make my point! anyone want to tickle my balls? 2+ Replies

It's a shame "PUNX" kids who listen to Anti-Flag and swallow their slogans don't take action without signatures from the dudes... 2+ Replies

you know, I don't hear anything like this coming from the billy talent, rise against or moneen camps. who is really trying here? And, if you want to get right down to it, I don't hear any of these bands bragging about their carbon neutral asses. If we don't have a planet, we don't have kids to save. See touring bands at your own risk. 3+ Replies

Not really a band I like that much, but it's a great and commendable idea. Perhaps a few other bands could use this idea?

Yes, but who would actually want a poster signed by a guy named Pat Thetic? 1+ Reply

Say what you want about Anti-Flag, but at least they ellicit some sort of intellectual discussion/debate on this website.
Someone (January 18, 2007)
they should change their name to Anti-Fag and kill you all
Someone (January 18, 2007)
You know, Anti-Flag shouldn't be so discriminating with their biases, b/c when they affliate with a retailer in malls to do something positive, it leaves them open to easy criticism, hahaha.

Ohh look at me I'm the single Anti-Flag fan on this entire board, I must responde to every negetive comment because I'm to naive to realize that Anti-Flag just wants the West 49 publicty. I mean COME ON! west 49 consumers are what obviously makes up their demographic of fans, so instead of giving anyone a reason to call them "corporate sell outs" they simply throw in there "Oh ya and bring some coats for homless people". If were talking about bands who do more for the world from their corporate pedistiles, then why isnt everyone worshipping U2? 3+ Replies
