Lagwagon, Ataris, Ignite, Street Dogs, MxPx, more confirmed for Groezrock

Europe's mega-punkfest, Groezrock has announced a number of additions for their 16th year. The latest participants include Street Dogs, Lagwagon, The Ataris, Ignite, MxPx, All-American Rejects, Aiden, Thursday, Jimmy Eat World and Sparta.

In October the fest confirmed Converge, Rise Against, the Bronx, Tiger Army and Cancer Bats. The festival will take place in Belgium on April 27 and 28.

This doesn't seem that awful at all. People can complain all they want, wishing there was 25 OI bands or whatever...but you can't beat a tour that actually is diverse in bands. I better be careful, the Org police doesn't allow liking multiple Genres.

However, the fetsival organisers have got back to me already and said that there isn't any "package" deals so i don't think i can :(

Does anyone have any bright ideas?? I looked at Eurostar & flights and they look to be in the £300 region from the UK!!

check out Eurolines.com , you can get a coach from London to Brussels for around 50 pounds (sorry, I don't know how to do the pound symbol) it 8h30m from london to brussels, but the other way it's 6h30m

it's not really comfy, but it's cheap, aaand you will go on a ferry

Thanks - will try and check it out - I'm off to Wacken (Germany) from Leeds, UK and for the coach & tickets for the whole weekend its £220.00 so I dont see it being a problem - its just getting from Brussels to the festival now....

...this will take some thought!!

I don't think that is a problem, belgians have a good railway system and I bet there is a train to the town the festival is, check the prices on the train tickets before you buy it. maybe it's best for you to buy a Go-Pass, which is 10 trainrides within belgium, I think it's 40€. me and my girlfriend bought it last summer, and we were only going on 2 trainrides each, and that was cheaper than buying all the tickets

well a coach from Leeds to Brussels is gonna cost £114.00 for 2 people which is fine! now to find my way to the festival!!

It should be prety easy to get there from brussels. they will post the info as soon as the site is up. You'll probably have to take train to "diest" or "geel" and from there on they will organize busses tot the festival. that's how it has been de previous years.

hmmm it looks to me like the 27th could be spent traversing the Belgian countyside and hitting on some Belgian hotties. Nothing worth seeing at the festival that day. The 28th looks like a better day to go, you know, if I lived in Belgium and whatnot.

they're not confirmed on the groezrock website, but they are on their own website, so i'm pretty sure they're coming. they are normally touring with flogging molly then.

Street Dogs are definitely confirmed. And they have only toured with Flogging Molly once before making this their second time with them

seeing The Ataris next to all those bands makes me remeber the OLD ataris. Now anytime you read about ataris it is always around bands like swervedriver,neutral milk hotel, and snow patrol. i miss old ataris
