The Stooges have posted the first track from their new album, titled The Weirdness. The record will be released March 20 via Virgin Records. The album marks the seminal band's first proper release in almost 34 years. Frontman Iggy Pop had the following to say about the album:

At times, [the songs have] a lot of going for the fences, but there's a great deal of structure and attention to detail. We were very prepared, and we always have been any time we stepped into a studio.

The band will start touring in support of the album this spring. Along the way are plans to stop for a peformance at this year's South by Southwest festival in Austin, TX on March 17th.
