Thank the Lord. This is one of the worst live bands I've ever seen. 2+ Replies

And punknews.org collectively throws up their hands and in a fist of rage proclaims...."who?" 2+ Replies

my band played with them in 2001 in CT. 1/2 the band was dicks, the other 1/2 no so bad. thier first release, "Find" is the only thing worth listening to. 2+ Replies

"Creative differences" for this band means arguments about shitty haircuts, I'd imagine. 1+ Reply

Good job guys. Achieve some success and throw it all away. Have fun working retail next year.

creative differences? one guy wanted to play shitty music and other wanted to fuck his brother? WHO CARES
Someone (January 31, 2007)
to say they split up due to "creative" differences that implies that there was something "creative" going on there. i disagree

it's funny how they finished their new cd before realizing they couldn't write together...isn't that backwards a little?
onegirlarmy (January 31, 2007)
I'm not usually one to talk shit on bands I don't like breaking up, but I can probably count the number of people who read Punknews who care about HIPV breaking up on one hand. 3+ Replies

this is one of those bands who on paper has everything needed to make it big, but then just inexplicably doesn't. Was anyone into these dudes? How did they survive for so long?
Someone (January 31, 2007)
I remember back in the day the Bouncing Souls had HIPV on their link page on their website (this was back when they were unsigned), I thought they were okay then, but then they really started to suck and BS took them off. 2+ Replies

HeyBarmold (January 31, 2007)
So... the band doesn't like the record, breaks up via their label, and then they want to sell this?

can't say i'm too sad to see them go, but i dug their ep "operation:cut-throat" from a few years back.
Winiferd69 (January 31, 2007)
these guys aren't one my favorite bands or anything, but i definately think they're better than most of their peers.

LOL! Joe was too good to talk to me and my friend at a show when they first started. He was too busy trying to hit on every girl in the club. What a loser! 1+ Reply

since im on punknews, im supposed to talk shit about them. i can be sympathetic on AP.net. but fuck that. HIPV really weren't that bad, at least on album. i never got to see them live.

I saw these guys play like 7 times and I liked them. I really liked their full length .The drummer is actually really good. The lead guitarist seems like an a total ass though. 1+ Reply
