By A Thread to release new record

Vancouver's By A Thread have announced plans to release their long-awaited second full length this summer. The band issued their last album, The Last of the Daydreams, in 1999.

The album was produced by Theo and Tom from the punk rock outfit Gob. A title as well as a final release date are expected shortly.

Incorrect information on multiple fronts. Jake Bannon will not be producing artwork for this release, and the record will not be coming out in May. Look for a release date sometime further into Summer.

that's funny. i was just wondering what happened to gob earlier this morning. "too late, no friends" and "how far shallow takes you" are pretty enjoyable, in my opinion. after that, it went downhill pretty fast. that one song with the rap part was in one of the american pies, and then after that they just disappeared. still, those two albums had some pretty great songs. i'm sure i'll get a lot of shit for that, but oh well.

I heard Gobs new record, still in the works. I have to say, it's the best gob has ever recorded. These songs are crushing and the production is huge.
