this is so bad. so so bad. what happened to epitaph?...

i know that it makes some sense to report this, because epitaph used to be a punk label. but i think that from now on, we should treat epitaph the same way we treat a label like warner brothers (as far as punknews' reports on their bands are concerned). if the band is even remotely related to punk or a related genre, punknews can report on them. but if the band has absolutely nothing to do with punk, we ignore them.

punknews doesn't report on cowboy troy just because he's on the same label as the used, so why should punknews report on the higher just becase they're on the same label as pennywise?

[note: i am not a fan of any of the aforementioned bands, but i think its a good thing that punknews' coverage is broader than what i consider punk. also, i have no idea who cowboy troy is.]
