While nothing has been announced, it's expected that this track is part of Armstrong's digital solo album A Poet's Life. Two previous songs and videos have been released so far.
A video for a new song from Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong has been posted to popular video sharing site YouTube. The song is titled "Into Action" and features Canadian singer Skye Sweetnam and the Aggrolites. The song was written by Armstrong for Sweetnam's upcoming album Sound Soldier, but was reportedly re-recorded for the version found in the video.

This sounds like a song that belongs on the Weekend At Bernies official soundtrack.
Someone (March 26, 2007)
i used to this this girl had cute potential. not so much anymore.
Someone (March 26, 2007)
No clue who the girl is, but she is cute. And Tim Armstrong is trying to sing all reggae style.
Tar0n (March 26, 2007)
When I seen Skye Sweetnam on Hellcat's Myspace page I thought it was a joke..guess i was wrong. I actually really like the song: when does Tim Armstrong find the time to sleep, the guy's got his hands in everything. Great job!
Someone (March 26, 2007)
complete and utter shit
rearanged3 (March 26, 2007)
i heard his album is getting released on cd now...the digital thing is donezo.
Someone (March 26, 2007)
i'd likie it more if the fucking cd would come out already.rancid can never keep their street date.everything i can remember them ever putting out the street date has always been extended hella long.lame
screeching_bottlerocket (March 26, 2007)
the rude boy in me is loving tim's solo stuff. is this coming out on cd or is it just digital? cause i've heard both statements.
AphasiacIIC (March 26, 2007)
this is the best song from his solo so far. he doesnt sound nearly as much as a retarded 5 year old as he usually does, and it actually works
red_eye_inc (March 26, 2007)
Sucks for this news post that it's sandwiched between two stories about felonies.
PatThetic (March 26, 2007)
fuck the negativity
Someone (March 26, 2007)
Tim is fucking pin head period!!! This just proves what a wanker he is!!! You fuckers who love him and his shit band Rancid will let him get away with anything you all suck sell-out balls!!!
AndyPonch (March 26, 2007)
Sure, she's eye candy, I'm not saying she isn't. She is however a mediocre singer who was all over those Canadian shows a couple of years ago. We all Avril to thank for this in some way or another.
Someone (March 26, 2007)
Hello MTV...
TheRhetoric (March 26, 2007)
I totally forgot about Tim's solo album. It's funny but I am kinda looking forward to this after hearing the two other songs even though I've pretty much written off anything Rancid members have been involved in for a long time.
GlassPipeMurder (March 26, 2007)
I don't know who Skye Sweetnam is, but I am loving Tim's solo stuff so far. I was afraid it was gonna be shitty acoustic stuff, but it's all been sunny reggae/ska...very nice.
swank (March 26, 2007)
For anyone who doesn't know, Skye Sweetnam had a minor hit a few years ago called "Billy S." ,about not wanting to learn about William Shakespere, presumably because she was too punk. It basically sounded like if Hillary Duff made an album to cater exclusively to the mentally retarded.
TrueBeliever (March 26, 2007)
Wasn't the point of Tim's solo album even being made to keep the "Rancid punx" tradition of releasing an album every year and that was to be their 2006 release? Well it's long overdue...
mashole (March 26, 2007)
ive never listened to the aggrolites. are thyey any good? this song is so chilled out i love it is thier other stuff as good as this minus tim armostrong>?
MillenNick (March 26, 2007)
ahhahah I like this song and Ive enjoyed most of tims work but this skye hahaha....anyways I never really knew her but she grew up in my area and alot of my buds went to school with her and when I saw this I was in fucking shock but you guys should Listen to Skye's "popular" song of the past its called "Billy S' I believe if not try " billy shakespeare" o yea dont forget about the mole! woooooot
Someone (March 26, 2007)
so far this is the only tim armstrong/aggrolites song that i've liked. i guess it is lame that skye sweetnam is in it, but it even celine dion couldn't have brought that song down.
DancinShoes (March 26, 2007)
GODDAMN this is catchy good stuff.
ChokingVictim (March 26, 2007)
This is awesome, unfortunatley I've ignored it until just now because of the stories before and after it...
Someone (March 26, 2007)
Someone went crazy with iMovie.
Someone (March 29, 2007)
Just to let evryone know, Skye Sweetnam has also recorded her own version of this song, which will probably be on her album Sound Soldier. "Officialy", Sound Soldier will be out April 3rd, but it's likely to be pushed back, unfortunately.
Someone (March 29, 2007)
Ok, now I've seen it all on here. People slamming Tim Armstrong. Who do you FAKE punks like??? Fall Out Boy!?
Someone (March 30, 2007)
Wow Skye Skeetnam. That's rough. She is totally Radio Disney you can even listen to hear song at her website about "BILLY SHAKESPEAR". Rough. And to think Rancid wouldn't sign to Maverick back in the day.
Someone (March 30, 2007)
There is only one reason to explain Skye Sweetnam
Someone (April 6, 2007)
You are all retarded if you don't like this. One of his major influences is ska, so get with it. You all think punk is "fall out boy" and "red jumpsuit apparatus."
Someone (April 7, 2007)
he better not be sleeping with her
moonstomperph (March 19, 2008)
all you fuckin moreons that say negative things about the video or tim armstrong are dumb fucks! punk is not about just fall out boy or any "POP PUNKS" that you just know... know their roots like rancid, their roots are ska so expect something a bit skankin from them... and people mature, tim has matured but still is in touch with his roots. punk does not end in punk, it collides with reggae, mod and especially ska! obviously all the dumb fucks said negative things about the vid or tim and rancid, DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING OR AN IDEA ABOUT WHAT THEY DO!!! how can you say they've selled out?? tim made his OWN record label which is HELLCAT RECORDS which means they have and make thngs their way, they have their family(HORROR POPS, NEKROMANTIX, THE SLACKERS, THE AGGROLITES, THE TRANSPLANTS, LARS FREDERIKSEN and the BASTARDS,etc) with the same roots in music which they have thought show rest of comment |
