Mute Math have released the latest video from their new record, Mute Math. The video is unique in that the band learned and recorded the song backwards and then reversed the video, an idea famously used in David Lynch's Twin Peaks.

I-type-poorly (March 29, 2007)
This video offered me no information in chewing gum popularity. Also it isn't punk.

Is this song a big hit? I don't listen to the radio but I've definitely heard it before which leads me to believe it must get played on jukeboxes at bars. Because that's about the only time I get stuck listening to music that I don't want to hear.

have them pegged as a 'lets get lots of crass press for being a fresh new artist' college rock band, but the song isn't horrible as far as kind of safe pop-rock goes.
skajester (March 29, 2007)
And Spike Jonze did it for the Pharcyde's "Drop."
Someone (March 29, 2007)
Look What I Did recorded the verse to their song Shadowboxing in reverse and reversed it back forwards to where you could understand the lyrics coherently, in 2001. been done.

Weird Al did a backwards shot at the end of the "Amish Paradise" music video. This isn't new or unique.
Scootz_McNasty (March 29, 2007)
the album is pretty stellar in my opinion. the video may not have been original, but i enjoyed watching it.

This record's really good and this band are incredible live performers. They're actually playing in Cleveland tonight but I'm stuck at work late and can't go. Such a bummer. |
