Vice Magazine's online network VBS.tv recently met with Malcom McLaren, the manager and mastermind (or manipulator, depending on who you believe) behind the Sex Pistols and earlier the New York Dolls

How much does The Draft sound like HWM? Because I never really got into HWM, but I'm really into the The Draft, and I figure I should give HWM another chance if they sound alike.

I can't answer your question because I've never listened to The Draft, but HWM has always been a little too much rock and not enough punk for me. I'm not saying they're bad, but I've found it hard to get into them.

Give them another shot, they're amazing. and yes they sound quite like the draft - if you're after something that isnt too raw try and get hold of Caution or A New What Next.

Talk about a one track mind. The guy reminds me of my old English 101 teacher who related everything back to sex.
