It's pretty good, would be better without the mascot, but I'm looking forword to the album, one of the few good punk(ish) bands that are mainstream right now... 2+ Replies

The background vocals on this sing kinda remind me of Blink's "Feeling This" 1+ Reply

definitely rehashed but you know, i'd rather have fun than trying to be original and serious and sucking.

march of the dogs was a better song, oh yeah, i actually like this band. i dont know, they're a change from the real true punk bands i usually listen to. 1+ Reply

I'm just listening to Randy's "The Rest is Silence"... it's fucking amazing, it's like Propagandhi added the thrash stuff but managed to keep the pop-punk. Wow.
GlassPipeMurder (May 30, 2007)
looks like they're not missing their "metal" guitarist BrownSound all that much. mildly enjoyable tune, though the video didn't do much.

anyone else amazed that deryck still looks like he's 12, god i thought being married to avril would take 30 years off anyone's life, pretty decent, though it sounds like their other stuff, i swear I've heard that chorus before

Shades of Green Day, with the entire semi-political-yet-mainstream deal going on. I'm not a fan, but I actually like when these more mainstream bands put out political songs. Maybe it'll make a few high school freshmen think about something important. Then they can move on to something better like Strike Anywhere. There has to be a starting point. 2+ Replies

I thought I was super cool and original when I bought my 72 Telecaster with the humbuckers, but now everybody's got them. Only, I think the lead-singer's has P90s. 2+ Replies

This band is a guilty pleasure of mine.
PervyD (May 30, 2007)
The guitar parts, rhythms, and even some of the vocal melodies sound totally ripped from FatLip.....their own song. I even expect it to go into the same chorus, but obviously they changed the melody there. Kudos, Sum41...you basically made a remix. 1+ Reply

I wonder if they've heard John Lennon's "Workingclass Hero?"

This song is such bullshit.

That's a lot of guitar for one guy to handle...they should tour with that school band from the video. Ska 41.
sonnykotler (May 30, 2007)
The lyrics are from their song "Subject to Change"....LoL! WTF?! Lame. 1+ Reply

This video is definitely Fat Lip 2. But you know something? I liked it the first time and I like it this time. I listen to a lot of really good political punk bands and sometimes it's fun to have a Sum 41 there to lighten the mood without having to listen to straight up pop bands. Not every band can be hardcore political and I love Sum 41 how they are [even if it's a bit 7th grade]. But seriously, who else isn't afraid to say they like this band!? 1+ Reply
