Wow. Much better than I expected. Maybe things are taking a turn. Just please tell me Jerry Finn is not involved. 2+ Replies

sounds a lot like warbrain and a couple other songs all mixed up and spit out to a new alk 3 song...pretty blah, which is shocking (no sarcasm).

Bummer, this is kind of mediocre. Alkaline Trio is one of my favorite bands, but this just doesn't even really sound like them. 1+ Reply

i like alk3. i have all their albums and a few of them (s/t,hwm split, gd, fhti) i rank as prob in my top 200 albums i own,yet sometimes i wonder how they could have gotten so big or why their songwriting formula has stayed pretty much the same. this song could have easily come out 6 years ago (minus the production) and would be considered standard fare on "from here to..." 2+ Replies

Much better than I expected. Jerry Finn has been a bane to their success and sound. 1+ Reply

its pretty catchy. not my favorite song ever, but if it is one of the OK songs on their new album, then the new CD could be pretty good.

god damn i never realized how orgcore this band is. And I don't really understand why... Everything since from here to infirmary has been ssoo overproduced. matt skiba keeps trying to look like a bigger douche bag everytime i see him, going for the poor man's davey havok look. their album covers keep looking hokier than an aiden album cover, the fat bass player dude sang a song with the lyrics " i know its dark here, i'm scared too", the new drummer wears more and more pink eye makeup when i see them and they still haven't dropped the "i'm going to kiss your corpse and then bury it my sweet little dead girl" bullshit phony lyrics. ANY OTHER band would be hated on this site. i don't get it. my chemical romance essentially does the same thing and the org people hate them. 4+ Replies

part of the melody in the first verse sounds like Heaven's "Patent Pending". 1+ Reply

boring. i'd rather listen to a wilhelm scream. at least they don't wear makeup. 1+ Reply

gah i wish theyd turn away from the 'crimson-ish' sound but its still better than most songs on that fucking album.

not bad, but i kinda wish they would do something a little different. They really haven't changed much from 10 years ago when you think about it. Even Heavens sounded like Alkaline Trio.

And I thought Descendents had that whole 'songs about farts' market cornered. 2+ Replies

have none of you people noticed that the lawrence arms have been basically using the same song structure/riff for over 5 albums and more than 6 years now!?! That doesn't bother you people? No wonder so many of the orgcore kids wish propagandhi still sounded like a third rate pissed off version of nofx (how to clean everything). jesus fucking christ. oh yeah, this band has basically been doing the same thing and you all want an alkaline trio bukkake 2+ Replies

I'm sorry, but I love this fucking song. Really solid, one of my favorite A3 songs. 3+ Replies

its amazing to me how all the people who have talked so much shit on this band for the past five years still don't seem to give up on them. most people will stop caring about a band after they put out two shitty records in row, but none of you guys. strange... 2+ Replies

This song is boring. It is nothing special. It has nothing to do with them being on Epic it wouldve sounded like this either way. Their song writing has just gone down hill. I think this band needs to throw in the towel because they can't write anything solid it seems lately. Its not bad and it sounds like Alkaline Trio, but its sad because they can do way better then this.
Someone (June 1, 2007)
i think the front cover of the album says a lot about warped. shitty emo band and people wearing black nail paint
Someone (June 1, 2007)
WhAT RECORD ARE YOU LISTENING TO????????????????
tom_wobd (June 1, 2007)
so okay it sounds like most other alkaline trio songs, but it's awesome because it sounds like most other alkaline trio songs!
Angiepants (June 1, 2007)
Man, I was listening to "Goodbye Forever" before this new song, and.... :(
karlsincharge (June 1, 2007)
If from here to infirmary had derek drumming on it, I'd have no complaints at all about this band. This song is fucking great. Who knew Ex-Members of Walls of Jericho could make it so far?
Someone (June 1, 2007)
if dan could just do his own rock and get rid of matt. matt is way overhyped. he kills alkaline trio. 2+ Replies

I am a huge Trio fan and I have been for a long time. I would give my left fucking arm to hear something from them that contained any kind of emotion. They used to have this anger and heartbreak that you felt through everything. Maybe they grew up and became shiny happy people, but i still feel way better screaming out '97 then i will ever feel on anything off of Crimson or Good Mourning. This new song is no different. It feels like they are trying to be something now when before just who they were was enough. 3+ Replies

Is the new Alk3 coming out before the Godammit reissue? Much more interesting than the Warped comp.
