Tours: Lifetime / Bouncing Souls / The Ergs! / Static Radio NJ

Two beloved punk outfits, Lifetime and Bouncing Souls, have announced a series of weekend "mini" tours which will see the bands performing together for three days in August. The bands have enlisted the Ergs! and Static Radio NJ to provide support for the shows.

Lifetime has also booked some solo dates scattered through the summer.

They have more jazz-ish songs as well, that one just stood out the most off the top of my head. "Can't Hardly Wait" is a pretty upbeat jazzy song.

"Have you heard "Nightclub Jitters" from Pleased To Meet Me?" Thats only one song out of a million. Hardly call the mats jazzy. The song is a joke song anyway. To the guy who said the ergs were "jazzy replacements" is just saying something that every other reviewer says trying to drop some sort of knowledge. They are just a pop punk band that has songs about girls

couldn't have said it better myself. i like the Ergs but you've actually ever listened to a jazz record in your life you know there is nothing remotely "jazzy" about either the replacements or ergs.

Dude. Crass is fucking amazing. Everyone who doesn't like them just doesn't get it. Also, even if you deny the impact of their music, you can't deny how important their lyrics and political stance are - seriously, Crass is among the most important punk bands ever.

What do you people think of a person who likes The Sex Pistols more than the Ramones? Because I believe that the Sex Pistols had more of a contribution towards good music than the Ramones did and I think the Pistols are better.

I'll retract the Damned, because that was based solely on personal opinion, I've just never really been into them, but that doesn't make them overrated. As for the Clash, I think London Calling, may be the second most overrated record in punk rock history (behind "Nevermind The Bollocks"), but, the s/t Clash album is gold in my opinion.

I just never really 'got' that record. It's a good album, but musically it's very soft and very poppy to me. I'll never say that it's not a good record, but as far as the punk rock subgenre goes, i don't see how that album fits in, it just sound like a rock n' roll record to me.

I used to think that Lifetime was overrated, but now I actually love 'em. Like, "I have all their albums" love. Circle Jerks have 1 great album, and like 2 good ones. Pennywise just totally sucks, as do Strung Out. Sex Pistols were important for their cultural impact, not their music.
But yeah, pretty much every 'Orgcore band is overrated, but I would say...

I was going to add Agnostic Front and SOIA, but I don't really think they're overrated on an individual level. The entire NYHC movement is overrated in my opinion! SOIA, Agnostic Front, and Token Entry are actually the only bands from that genre that I can come close to tolerating.

they put out more than just 1 great album. the weathered statues and self titled eps are just as good. and their last few records were more than respectable. i will give you that the late 80s hair metal "TSOL" version blew.

Does anyone know if the Philly and Baltimore shows are still on? The dates were up yesterday and now they have been removed from the Myspace pages of the Souls & Lifetime (yes I am on myspace blow me)
