Two new Reggie & The Full Effect songs

Everyone's favorite bathtub dwelling solo artist, James Dewees aka Reggie and The Full Effect, has posted some new music from his upcoming album.

The record was produced by Sean Beavan and is titled She Loves Me Not. A release date has not yet been set. The album is the follow up to 2005's Songs Not To Get Married To. (Those confused by the new songs should recall that James was in this band for a spell.)

isn't vagrant holding back the release of the new album because they feel it's too ..i guess hard (for lack of a better word)?

I stumbled this a few weeks ago on Wikipedia
"Unfortunately Vagrant rejected the new album, claiming it was "too heavy" and "not reggie-like." The new album needed to be entirely re-recorded, and a release date is uncertain. Fans have petitioned for Vagrant to release the heavier Reggie album as an internet-only release, but to no avail."

Unfortunately I couldn't find any not wikipedia source.

You're the first person to comment with "coke head" in it because he isn't one. If you can't listen to his music because of his drug problem for some odd reason, know that he went to rehab and is much better now according Sean Ingram's blog.

Then again trying to teach someone on a punknews.org forum to stop bitching is impossible.

Either way I'm excited for this new record. and the fact that my news got posted.

I pretty much figured these would be the mature responses I'd get. I'm a 17 year old guy who loves his music and could give two shits if he smoked crack rocks 8 days a week. I said he went to rehab, so why would I think he didn't do coke?

I think the new songs are badass though.

Hilary Duff's first record was rad. man, there were songs about voices in her head. Check it out.

I'm not saying he can't start again, I'm saying a close friend of his says he's done with it. and it's not like he was forced. plus the lyrics of the new songs mention that he used to do a lot of drugs. Either way, I like the music. I'd rather you make fun of me for that than whether I think he's a drug addict or not.

I love punknews.org for the sheer negativity towards every artist whose news gets posted. and i'm not being sarcastic, I think its actually funny.

It doesn't make much sense to me. I don't know anyone over the age of 13 that doesn't think his first two albums were really good and his last two were really bad. Pissing on the stage of his career where people actually liked him seems pretty dumb.

Actually his last 2 were the best. Songs Not To Get Married To was amazing. Under The Tray was great as well. His more serious albums are way better than those two joke albums.

I have to disagree...
Greatest Hits(especially the reissue) was hands down the best ratfe album to date, but im not saying the others were bad, i liked them all, just Greatest Hits kicked so much ass

When Vagrant Records says your album sucks too much to release, it my really be bad.

On a side note, I agree that this guy has to stop taking himself so seriously. He was definately at his peak when he was just the silly dude from the Get Up Kids that would get drunk and dance around in costumes on stage. Fifty pounds, a coke addiction, and two horrible albums made me lose all interest in the man. He should just stick to touring with MCR.

I saw My Chemical Romance open for Reggie & The Full Effect several years ago for a crowd of about 25 people. After that show I would have never guessed James would go on to become a bitter, overly-dramatic man and My Chemical Romance would go on to become the new Backstreet Boys. Shows what too much (MCR) or too little (James) success can do to you.

that tour played in detroit in front of a thousand people, then a year or two later my chem headlined with reggie opening to 6000.

Man, fuck Vagrant!

The songs may be a little bit "too hard" to be Reggie, but 2 songs does NOT an album make.

Doesn't anyone remember APOCALYPSE, WOW!? That song was hard, even for Reggie, and it was still very well recieved.

That being said, I'd like to hear the fully mastered versions of the songs, since they sound a bit demo-ish to me. Then again, it IS 96kbps, so what do I know...?

P.S. This is not James, just a fan who wants others to hear the songs.
