Mr. Brett playing new Bad Religion, Epitaph material on BBC Punk Rock Show tonight

Our friends at the BBC let us know about the latest episode of the BBC Radio 1 Punk Rock Show. The show airs tonight from 2am to 4am GMT (9pm EST, 6pm PST) tonight and is available for streaming in it's entirety via this link.

The show tonight will feature a live and acoustic performance from the Aggrolites in support of their recent full-length, Reggae Hit L.A.. These Arms Are Snakes will be taking over the show and playing DJ for some of the show. Finally, the playlist will include new music from Suicidal Tendencies, Against Me!, acoustic Anti-Flag, Negative Approach, Big D & The Kids Table, Tim Armstrong, Gallows, Society's Parasites, From Autumn to Ashes, Nekromantix, NoFX, The Hoods, Small Arms Dealer, The Street Dogs and many more...

The new BR is a disappointment. I've just been through 16 songs twice and only a handful are memorable at all: the two already released, the Green Day-ish "Before You Die" and punchy, melodic "New Dark Ages"

What happened? For some reason, the songs just do not work. The elements are all there: Graffin's sincere vocals, the three guitar attack, Whack-erman, the oozin aahs, but they seemed to have forgotten to write decent songs. Boo.

I've listened to it a few times and think it's pretty good... most similar to The Process of Belief IMO, which ain't bad at all. Grains of Wrath kicks ass.

I think he meant that the Grey Race was the last good album they put out. I think Process of Belief is way better, but each to their own.

1. suffer was the first BR record i got.

2. yes im sayin its the best record SINCE the gray race

3. TPoB was good, but i didnt like the production work on it all that much. Guitars are way too low in the mix and it just didnt sound complete to me.

4. bad religion can do no wrong.

its everywhere, cause two or three days ago the distribution began. they didnt want a three months leak ahead, like with TPOB and TESF, and it worked. when the distribution starts, its out of their hands. i am pretty sure they know that...

this week brett gurewitz was on the show, playing some new epitaph stuff like bad religion, motion city soundtrack, gallows, vanna, escape the fate and tim armstrong.

How erudite of you. Yes BR is exactly like Dragon Force except without the eight minute songs, soprano vocals, asinine themes, lord of the rings lyrics, ridiculous synthesizer, poodle hair, and spandex. I'd say the fact that they both use the same twelve notes coming from pretty much the same kinds of instruments and amplifiers make them virtually indistinguishable from one another.
