Media: Whole Wheat Bread debut new song

Jacksonville, Fl's kings of crunk-rock, Whole Wheat Bread, have posted a new track from their upcoming record. The song is titled "Lower Class Man", and is mixed, but has not been mastered.

There's a difference between racism and prejudice. Racism is the belief in one race being somehow inferior or superior to another. Prejudice is a preconceived notion about someone or something without any specific facts behind the assumption.

Everyone is prejudice, its impossible not to be.

Not everyone is racist.

I personally feel as though many people are helping break the barriers, especially comedians who make racism look like a joke such as Chappelle or Prior.

Haters can hate and be jealous bigots all they want. I bet most of you are just frustrated by your band's lack of progress. Therefore you play that WWB's success is a novelty, race-driven or a gimmick (which by the way is total bs because they don't wash their skin off after a show but you probably do wipe your eyeliner off) - all because your band is going nowhere, you've resorted to racism.

ps hate me all you want but WWB RULES and this new song rocks.

One thing I've realized after reading the thousands of comments of WWB is that the majority of people who dislike them dislike them for two reasons: 1. They simply dislike their music. 2. They dislike the factt hat the band takes every possible oppurtunity to point out the fact that they are, indeed, a band comprised of black members. There are a few racist pricks on this website, but most people are just tired of the band promoting themselves that way.

of course not, they're just writing songs they can especially relate to since they are a minority in the scene.

I have never called WWB a 'gimmick', I think the gimmick argument is ridiculous. Of course they're going to write songs about what they know, but they don't have to center their entire career around it. Look at hip-hop for example, white artists who have been successful in hip-hop (Eminem, Paul Wall and succesful indie rap artists like Slug and Sage)write songs about their life experiences but they don't take every oppurtunity to mention the fact that they are white, the only exception being Vanilla Ice, and look how he turned out.

no offense but why was every rapper you mentioned white? mentioning run dmc, ll cool j or even del would have made since since they all managed to make carreers that spanned extremely long periods of time by thinking outside the "black experience" and going for more univerrsal themes. do you really think paul wall will be around in a few years?

their success is due to one thing and one thing only, touring their asses off. as far as the race card, the fact that a lot of their tours have been with bigger named ska acts (who's crowds are, let's face it, more receptive to black artists than a typical punk crowd would be) certainly hasn't hurt them either.

overall though i'd say they have earned their success the same way, and i'm not being sarcastic here, as gym class heroes, fall out boy and my chemical romance did, jumping on any tour that would have them.

i think my band is going to start performing in blackface, and see what it does for us. or better yet we'll all just take too many tanning pills so we look black. if it doesnt' work out, atleast we will learn the lesson that at the end of the day, black people are still black.
