Last Of The Believers (Rise Against, Ignite, Reach the Sky, Spark of Life)

Current and former members of Rise Against, Ignite, Reach the Sky, Spark of Life have come together in a new project called Last Of The Believers. The band draws from the hardcore influences of their previous endeavors with a more melodic style of vocals and choruses. With a roster featuring vocalist Steve Jennings, guitarist/vocalist Chris Chasse, bassist, Brett Rasmussen, guitarist Nik Piscitello and drummer Phillip Lee, the Los Angeles based group promises to have demos available soon.

Yes for the money that these guys get paid they should totally be more professional. This isn't a hobby done by guys who volunteer their time towards something they love (who just so happen to have real full time jobs) and have most of their news submitted by the even more random-ass readers! This is a full time operation with scores of researchers and teams of fact checkers.

Give him a break, the man writes a ton of content, not to mention all the video stuff he produces for us. If we expected every staffer volunteering their time to be consistently perfect we'd have nobody doing any work on the site.

Well, we could staff it with unfeeling yet perfect robots but those would ineidably -- as robots always do -- go on periodic killing sprees.

If anything, you should thank Chris for saving your life from the cold mechanical claw of a Punknews KillBot.

no one in the band was in outspoken but they were a huge influence. these guys are awesome. brett is definitely still in ignite, spark of life is done touring but there was no official "end" to the band (they used to tour with Rise Against- hence how the guys have all gotten together).

and yes dave peters does guest vocals on two songs. and they're freaking awesome.

funny, i was just listening to ignite last night, thinking how much i like good melodic hardcore that isn't too ridiculously macho and then this comes up...almost makes me rethink my atheist beliefs....
