My Chemical Romance plan to start thinking about new album

My Chemical Romance are apparently in the process of thinking about looking at working on a new album. Frontperson Gerard Way laid it down as such: "It feels like it's about the right time to be making a new record."

Way goes on to talk to Kerrang! saying that their last effort, The Black Parade, is "the kind of record that you make but don't necessarily have a burning desire to perform because its creation was almost the point", and that "it was so artistically ambitious that it made us want to keep on creating.".

Expect to hear more news about the album as we near a tentative 2008 release date.

i hate the band and my girlfirend absolutely loves them(she excellent taste apart from this) so she made me listen to the first 2 albums. so i did with an open mind. needless to say i was not impressed it was just pure shit with the only change between the albums being that they decided to wear a shit load of makeup. mr sideleau was comepletely correct in his sumarisation of the band. i mean for fucks sake theyve made dolls of them

No, they're last album was pretty good actually. Yeah, I know, dock me 10 punk points for making that remark. You should actually listen to the Black Parade, leave the elitist attitude at the door, and just listen to them with a semi open mind. If you do that, then I bet you'll walk away thinking that for what they do, they're are a decent band.

It has to be different than the last sandwich I made because it was the kind of sandwich that you make but don’t necessarily have a burning desire to eat because its creation was almost the point.

It was so deliciously ambitious that it made me want to keep on making sandwiches.

i'll have to admit, at least their first album was alright. it was plucky, juvenile, energetic.....but this band has just boiled over into one of the most overindulgent, self-important bands out there right now.

all i have to say is that "teenagers" is actually a really catchy song...not emo or anything...just straight-up rock 'n' roll. other than that, i've heard nothing else...they can't be as bad as hawthorne heights...nothing is as atrocious as that shitty band.

I think it's amazing news that the band are thinking about writing and recording their new album.Altho,I'm a little apprehensive about it.Don't get me wrong,I love My Chem,but their last album was pants.Hopefully they'll go back to their old formula and write another 'three cheers'

I'm a huge my chem fan and this isn't news. Any artist/band who doesn't want to be forgotten is always making new albums...it's because it's their OCCUPATION and NOT because they're on an "egocore greed war''.

Punk culture has some pretty gnarly ways of thinking, and I support not falling ill to the government's shit but don't be so goddamn critical of big bands just because everybody knows who they are. Ya think Johnny Rotten would still be at it and alive if the Sex Pistols name didn't bring home some income? NO.

yeah my chemical romance has already started to record some of their new songs, i think for this album, what i've heard from tons of other sources.

I've heard these new songs, and ther fucking awesome, waay better than everything on the black parade. and there meant to be releasing the album next year.

so all you people who don't think that my chemical romance can put together a new album, i'de just like you to know they've already started and are well on their way to success again, just like in "Bullets" and "Three Cheers".
