Modern Life Is War, Ram and Ox, the Ergs to support final Explosion shows

The support acts for the final two Explosion shows have been announced. Modern Life Is War will perform at both the Philadelphia and New York City dates, with Ram and Ox playing Philly and the Ergs playing NYC. The gigs are set to take place on Friday, August 31st at the First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia and Saturday September 1st at NYC's Knitting Factory.

The band broke up earlier this year, and still plan to release their final record Bury Me Standing at some point in the near future.

No shit, I loved flash, flash, flash and there new shit is not horrible...well, maybe, but either way I saw them from early on here and would love to see them one last time. I did see them about a year ago with Throw Rag who kicks all kinds of shit live and The Loved Ones, who are overrated but great live and it was one of the best shows I have seen

I just saw the Loved Ones with the Souls and I have to tell you, they were better before they got the guys from The Explosion in the band...what happened to the Loved Ones?

Throw Rag are nuts and well worth checking out!

All of their old merch was associated with Boston, of course they considered it their home. But as far as Im concerned, play NY. The first ep and flash were great, but everything else sucked. That tape album is as bad as anything Avrils throw'n out there, so they can torture NY all they want. Good riddance.

saw TOOL tonight and it was the best concert i've ever seen...shit was unbelievable.

honestly outside of negative approach, panic at the disco's arena tour was probably the best show i've seen in years. not so much for the music but the show itself was fucking amazing. never seen tool though, they might put on an alright show i guess, though their music is incredibly boring

The Ergs are the only good band on this show, and probably have the biggest draw. the last good explosion record was released 8 years ago. who gives a flying fuck about this shitty band???

i saw the explosion play with international noise nad rftc years ago and they were amazing (though by far the worst band of the night, which isn't their fault. i mean they were touring with 2 incredible live bands) but then every time i saw them after that they seemed lazier and lazier on stage and the music was getting boring. they pulled a decent move by quitting while they weren't too far behind

It's funny because everyone swings so hard on the Ergs' nuts, meanwhile everyone shits on a band like say 5 Cent Deposit while their songs are completely interchangable.
