the cons: multiple shows means they can pick the best, most energetic cut for the album & theres less chances to capture the band's spontaneity in just one night

solution: record multiple nights and pick the best performances, then mix em up well and dont tell me about it so i think its all the same night.

there are VERY FEW live records that are one show. most of them are two or three shows that are played a over a couple days and they pick the best songs from each set. i can't think of more than a couple that were one-night performances. the unplugged records come to mind. nirvana and etc. but still, they're heavily edited and the order is re-arranged and the bad songs are cut. nirvana had to play songs multiple times.

I read in an article a little while ago that Mike was either going to put out a DVD or use the footage taken to turn it into a reality mini-series, but I haven’t heard anything else in the last couple months. From what I gathered though if they do put out a dvd its going to focus more on the band’s experiences in these countries rather then the actual music.

i saw david dondero, and everyone hated him. i think i was one of the few people who appreciated his set.

Nationwide? Awesome. Matt & Kim are awesome, Dondero played in This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb if I'm not mistaken. I really hope that comes near me. When is the tour?

Yes they are. I went to their show in Calgary and couldn't get in because they were sold out. And I tried my dammest to find tickets but there were like fifty other people looking for tickets. But then I bribed the security chick and got in. Everyone love propandhi!!

That issue doesn't come out until next month. He'll probably have something in it, though I doubt he'd get the most votes.

you listen to bands that have a lot of songs you don't like? why? i only listen to bands that consistently make good songs. there are plenty of them out there. what's the point otherwise.

Hats off to Yellowcard for one of the top 20 releases so far this year. I downloaded the album and it is actually pretty good. I think people on this site need to give Yellowcard a chance. I actually wish they were at my Warped Stop. They are better than 90% of the bands on the tour anyway.

I'm with you in regards to Bouncing Souls, Strung Our, Good Riddance, Swingin Utters, but NOFX is terrible. In 10th grade I realized that the music is just really stupid. "Idiot son of an asshole," "Bottles to the ground," "gotta pee," etc. etc. NOFX is not a quality band.

I couldn't agree more. Even though I'm exposed to much more music these days (and more diverse music, for that matter), I'm finding it harder and harder to find new bands to get into.

Yeah, it's really good. It's a complete live show from the Key Club in Hollywood. Everything they played that night is on there, which is kinda cool. I think it's better than the live album they put out. (This was a great show, btw. Openers were Chuck Ragan back by Flogging Molly; Punk Rock Karaoke w/ Mike Ness, Dwayne Peters, Matt Skiba, etc, etc.; and the Riverboat Gamblers)

Yeah, that post was way off base. I've seen them live several times and each time had really different set lists. There are a handful that you'll hear most times, but they really know how to switch it up.

Yeah, their sets are always completely random. Thats one of the things I love about NOFX shows. I was stoked to hear "You're Bleeding"... never would have thought they'd play it.

Yeah i saw them play twice in Sydney this year and apart from a few favorites, they did pretty different sets. They even played Lori Meyers and the whole decline at both shows

I read somewhere that they keep all their set lists to make sure they dont play similar sets in the same towns. That doesnt really sound like something they'd do to me, but they said it nonetheless.
