According to some information from Fat's European office, the label's second favorite band, NOFX is aiming for early 2008 for the upcoming live album. The disc will be the second live album from the veteran punk act, with the previous, I Heard They Suck Live, released nearly twelve years ago - before our reviews editor Brian was even born.
The record is apparently being assembled with recordings from a number of stops internationally as the band circles the globe visiting countries like China, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia and others. They released Wolves in Wolves' Clothing in 2006. Update: Whoops. The record was recorded at Slim's earlier this year. The band is assembling footage from the world tour for a documentary, so that'll be two separate things. Fat Wreck Chords (166 comments)

Against Me! is going on a nationwide tour with Matt and Kim and David Dondero. These bands are new to me but I am pumped to be seeing Against Me! playing in smaller venues again. 7+ Replies

Most overrated band in the history of punk rock. Attention NOFX: you are not cool or a good band. The majority of your fans are 15 year old ignorant kids or 25 year old dumb adults. 7+ Replies

NOFX has gotten a lot less political this year. When Yellowcard releases their live CD (you know it's coming, after three major label releases, they are most likely in the process of selection which hits to put on it), I hope they just do one show and make it one track, that way you get the feeling that you are there, you can't fast forward or rewind, if one comes on you don't like or know the words to at a show, you can just jump in the mosh pit until one you like comes on. That can't really be recreated at home or in your car or wherever, but you know what I mean. Hats off to NOFX for still being a band and may Yellowcard release as many CD's before the band splits apart and does solo projects (which I think would be neat anyway). 8+ Replies

The fact that I still find Fat Mike's bigotry hilarious, does it make me as immature as he is? 8+ Replies

FUCK ANYONE THAT TRASHES NOFX OR FAT WRECK. I've been listening to this shit since I was a little kid and I'm an adult now. Seriously, what the fuck is better than Fat Wreck/Epitaph classics? Bands like Lagwagon, Bouncing Souls, Strung Out, Good Riddance is some of the most honest and fun music ever created. Music should be FUN to listen to. Music today is so unbelievably shitty with all these fake "let's wear eyeliner bands". Fuck all that crap. Stick to the fucking classics. These bands are going to be around forever. Punk in Drublic is as good today as it was in 6th grade. Fun music never gets old. 10+ Replies

I have a great and totally original idea. Let's all insult NOFX and every other popular band that way all the totally punk rawk peoples will think WE are totally punk rawk! I bet the more we insult a band the more indie street cred we'll have! This plan is genius! I can't believe I JUST thought of this.
