They haven't played in Canada since they played with Circa Survive a few years back I think. I could be wrong.

eww that means I would have had to sit through Circa Survive and the singers awful stage moves again no wonder I haven't seen them.

i'd probably only drive down if it was a weekend, as i've seen Lucero plenty of times

I bought into all all the Lucero hype and purchased "That much further west" or whatever it was called and found it a little boring, was generally unimpressed. Does Rebels... have some more balls to it?

but i wouldn't say Lucero is really a 'ballsy' band...in other words, don't expect to hear punk

Yes, the last two albums are litle bit rock n' roll while their previous have all been a little bit country. Personally I prefer "Tennessee', but if you didn't like "THat Much Further West", you'll probably hate "Tennessee".

I wouldn't say a 'giant letdown', but definitely a letdown.

I hope you get the 'clap clap clap'. Not because you dislike Lucero, but because you're one of those people who call things 'overrated'.

If by rad, you mean overrated and boring live. Than yes they are rad.

two of those are states. in further news, i actually think that 'rebels' is their most consistent and listenable album. 'sing me no more hymns' eventually became my favorite song on there.
