Since it feels like forever since we got a new song from Alkaline Trio, the band debuted a new song apparently titled "In Vain" at the Warped Tour and our lost love, Scott Heisel, snapped a video of the performance.
The band signed to Epic following the shutdown of their prior home, V2 Music. Though it's been two years since their last studio release, Crimson, the band has since released released their second rarities and B-sides compilation, Remains, as well as unveiling plans to reissue their fan-favorite album, Goddamnit,. Their Epic debut is expected soon. Sony Music Entertainment (96 comments)

Horrible quality, but the song sounds like it could be pretty awesome. 1+ Reply

Hm, interesting. It doesn't sound like anything they've done before with those staccato guitars. Change is good though, I'd like to see these guys expand their sound a bit. 1+ Reply

thing is, i've ignored this band's songs for the last year or so in terms of listening to them but lately i've really got into "Maybe I'll Catch Fire" and "FHTI" and i love their old stuff again. If only they still made songs like Jaked on Green Beers (i know it's not on them 2 albums 1+ Reply

There was a new Alkaline Trio album a couple months back, I think it was called The Walking Wounded, I remember it being much better than their last few albums. 1+ Reply

It hasn't been forever since we got a new song, "Fire Down Below" is still pretty new.

heard this last night and it sounded pretty blah. the crowd died when they played it, too.

True story: This video was only a distraction in Scott's filming of a POV porno of him eating a chilli dog. 1+ Reply

Based on the quality, I'm assuming it was filmed with a digital still camera? I sure hope so... 1+ Reply

Can't listen to this at work, but I'm hoping and praying it sounds nothing like anything on "Crimson."
"Mercy meeeeee, God Bless catastropheeeeee!"
Oh man, that was bad.
