Break-ups: Few and the Proud (-2007)

Chicago hardcore act Few and the Proud has announced that they've broken up, shortly after the unexpected departure of their vocalist Bernie. The band had this to say:

hey. so, few and the proud has broken up. chris, james, bo, and myself will be continuing with a new band call Convicted. charlie is going to be singing for us. we will be doing a last FATP show, details will be up when we know them... check out convicted please.

Underground Communique Records released the the LP version of their sole full-length Stampede, while Organized Crime Records put out the CD version of the album.

If they Convicted are named after the Cryptic Slaughter album they must be awesome. I hope they are.

I hate when all the people here dismiss a breakup from a lesser known band because they never put out an album on fat/epitaph/nitro/red scare/no idea. I've never heard these dudes, but there is at least a 50% chance this band is better than Modern Life Is War, the Lawrence Arms, or all the other shitty bands you guys like.
