Mike Park, Sundowner plan UK tour

Mike Park has announced that he and The Lawrence Arm's Chris McCaughan will be visiting the UK sometime in early 2008. Although no dates have been announced yet, Mike has posted a message about the upcoming event. This is what he had to say:

" Dearest friends, I'm coming back to ENGLAND next year with my friend Chris from the LAWRENCE ARMS. We will trek across the UK on the train playing shows and wanted to see if any of you book shows in the UK? Hmmm... We are doing 14 shows total and I've booked 9 shows so far, but need a few more contacts. Especially IRELAND. I've never been and would really love to play there. Anyone? Hmmmm...

Both artists have released material in the past few years, with Mr.Park releasing North Hangook Falling in 2005 and Chris putting out Four One Five Two under the name, Sundowner.

you know what i was thikning about the other day? Even if Tobias is a never-nude, what use are the cut-offs? cant he just wear boxers to cover up his ''thunder'' ? The Cut-offs seem pretty useless to me...

Its funny I've enjoyed every project that Mike Park has ever done, he just writes really fun, simple songs about unity and racial injustice. Yet, I never understood why he is perfectly content in being so simple and under the radar, he allows bands to leave his label when they're about to break because he doesn't want to be involved in large scale indie label and he always seems to be content playing the role of the guy who comes out between bands and plays four or five songs on his acoustic guitar at shows. I think he's better than he likes to take credit for.

Yeah, and that's all that really matters. I just wish he'd tour more, but I fully respect his decision to take time off to raise his daughter. Most musicians don't do that.

As excited as I am about seeing Sundowner, this means we're going to have to wait EVEN LONGER for a Lawrence Arms UK tour. They've STILL not toured Oh Calcutta over here (unless you count two dates down south support No Use For A Name, which you shouldn't). It's ridiculous how much I want to see that band.

dude! no excuses....I've seen the Lawrence Arms 3 times since their No Use For a Name tour....get Europe or even Gainesville for the Fest......I'll be going to see them at the Fest again this year and might even fly to whereever their tour takes them for another date
