The Toasters have hired Planet Smashers drummer Scott Russell to fill the drums slot for their up coming Canadian tour featuring support from the Flatliners, Saint Alvia Cartel and the Peacocks. He has also been signed on for the rest of the year to cover the band's next European Tour featuring dates with Fandangle, the Hub City Stompers and the Pietasters.
You can see the Canadian dates here. The band is supporting their most recently release, One More Bullet.

one of the best ska drummers , but he doesnt use his full potential in the planet smashers songs, he pulls great solos at live shows tho

great. that means a whole nother year without any planet smashers shows. Where have these guys been? They used to be around buffalo almost twice a year.

other than josh freese, you couldn't ask for a better drummer, in my opinion..except, in this case, scott knows alot more about ska beats than josh, so i'd totally have picked him too. and since im going to the toronto date, this makes it more awesome. but i agree, with scott out of the planet smashers for the year, i guess we won't be seeing them anytime soon on the road, which sucks monkey balls. oh well, what can you do? | Features
