Fall Out Boy perform Green Day's “Basket Case”, as do some other people

The sound isn't that great, but so many of you submitted it so here it is. While performing at Araneta Coliseum in Manilla, Fall Out Boy covered Green Day's breakthrough single, "Basket Case" from their 1994 diamond selling major label debut, Dookie.

Here are some other versions: The original, Avril Lavigne's take and Japanese duo Puffy Ami Yumi's version.

I might lose scene points for this, but Fall Out Boy isn't really that bad of a band compared to the rest of the mainstream stuff. The thing I hate about them is their image aka Pete Wentz, if they replaced him and still produced to same exact songs (yes I know he writes the lyrics that it wouldn't be the same) they would be a tolerable pop-punk/emo band

yeah, they're ok. i wouldnt call them good, but they have some good songs, and that cover was totally fine. it was unnecessary, but it wasn't bad at all. it sounded pretty much like the original with some decent vocal melody at the end.

that was some awful drumming. Basket Case has some crazy drumfills, if you can't play them don't even try. Yuck! Tre' Cool's drumming on that song is insane.

Just for shits and giggles I watched some of each song. It's pretty funny that the tempo on each one is slower. Unless you're of the Dave Lombardo caliber, it's pointless to try and copy Tre. The only positive thing I got out of the songs was the Japanese eye candy.
