Videos: The Gaslight Anthem: “I'da Called You Woody, Joe”

The Gaslight Anthem have posted a new video for the song "I'da Called You Woody, Joe". The track comes from their acclaimed debut full-length, Sink or Swim, released earlier this year. The band is preparing to embark on their second nationwide tour of year, this time with The Draft and Dead to Me.

not a bad setlist but left out some stuff that i love. i talked to john about it after and he said there were certain songs that we were requesting (beard of defiance, future 86, i'm too cool for music) that not everyone knew how to play so they couldnt.

All I knew was that it was supposed to be this year. But it could have been put back, I haven't heard anything new in a while. I think they finished recording it before they went out on tour with AM!.

last i heard it was supposed to come out at the end of the year, but i haven't heard anything about it in awhile so it might have gotten pushed back.

i hope it comes out soon.

The record is an EP called "Senor and the Queen" and it's release date is scheduled for a January 29th release on Sabot Productions. (I heard its a dual 7" gatefold!!!)
As well as CD. They've been playing the songs in rotation in their sets.

I'll probably get flack for this, but I'm not a big fan of videos like this. It's just a bunch of concert footage, really. No Trigger's "Fish Eye Lens" video is similar. I wasn't a big fan of that one either, and I like No Trigger. Don't get me wrong---I love this band immensely and I know they're not exactly loaded with money. I just think it would be more beneficial to release a few high-quality live videos (similar to the footage in the vid, but without the album track dubbed on to it).

love the song, love the album, i'd say mediocre video.
i'm a fan of concert footage/footy of the band playing their instruments. but if they're gonna make the other half of the video something other than them thrashing, i'd say make it more interesting, a little more original, and give me something to ponder.

well from what Ive heard this video was done by just the director with 1 camera and they made it with no plan or idea before going down to Asbury.

im sure once they are on a larger label they can actually put money into the videos

either way the gaslight anthem is one of the best bands around right now

Seemed to be lacking in the Ghost department, except for his awkward dancing and the footage of him playing behind his head, which must have come from "Contender". Ah, the magic of editing...

video seems kinda awkward, like the whole walking sequence while mouthing the lyrics. it just doesn't seem like it fits

and when the camera does that close-up of the singers face does anyone else notice a slight resemblence between Gaslight Anthem's lead singer and another lead singer of a band (Tom Gabel) Gaslight Anthem are getting compared to quite often?
