Hifi Handgrenades (Suicide Machines, The Fags) to support Foo Fighters

Detroit, MI's Hifi Handgrenades have been tapped to provide support for the Foo Fighters on the October leg of their upcoming tour.

The band features Fags / Hoarse vocalist / guitarist John Speck, Hoarse bassist Robby Graham, former Suicide Machine Ryan Vandeberghe on drums, and vocalist / guitarist Tony Vegas of the Grand Nationals. They promise a sound that harkens back to "Stink"-era Replacements, Decendents, Husker Du and Naked Raygun.

the link at the beginning works. i'm actually kind of into these songs so far. they got the descendents influence down.

I was talking about the link at the end of the article.

But yeah they sound pretty good. I actually hear a lot more of a Dag Nasty influence in these songs than any of those other bands. For some reason it also reminds me a bit of The Loved Ones.

surprising considering they havent played a whole heck of alot of shows in michigan and theyre fairly new. theyre awesome live though.

oh dude i'm so chuffed for these guys. SM were obviously awesome and this band is the best thing to come from them. as stated above everything about them says they are really nice guys as well so a 1st place finish for good music and good guys.

totally awesome dudes, the drummer comes to my 90s dj night in detroit on thursdays (shameless plug?) anyway dave grohl walked in on their recording for their album and was blown away apparently, so now they get to open for foos. i saw em open for only crime back in august and they were tight as shit for a band that's fairly new. either way im totaly stoked for them. and in other news i heard the new foos single on the radio the other night and it fucking kills. i think i might need to grab their album
