Tours: The Evens

Now that he is cured of being dead, Ian Mackaye will be headed out on the road with his band, The Evens. The duo will be on the road for two weeks this December, in continued support of their sophomore album, Get Evens. We propose that the third album will be called Evens Stevens or maybe Evens Moneys.

Seriously, you're fucking stupid. Everything about Minor Threat was about being young and genuine and angry. A reunion would be none of these, and it would completely tarnish everything they ever stood for. It would mean Ian had gone batshit fucking loco and that would really be sad. Minor Threat was fucking nuts while it lasted. It's over now, and you have to let go.

Minor Threat were amazing.....but they broke up in 1983.....let's focus and the future and not do any corny reunion shows.

Yes. I used to have a filpside fanzine where someone said how great it would be if they got back together, but at their age it would be nearly impossible for them to play the songs as fast as they did.

That was written almost 10 years ago, so if it wasn't a good idea in 98 it's not a good idea in 07.

FYI ian said in a recent interview for I believe some show associated with vice magazine (with ian svenious as the interviewer) that he doesn't go out to plays shows "in support of" an album because it destroys the point of playing the shows.
