More than two years after Silkworm drummer Michael Dahlquis was killed by a suicidal lingerie model, a verdict has finally been reached.
The killer, Jeanette Sliwinski, was attempting to commit suicide -- not murder -- when she drove at nearly 90 mph into the back of a car stopped at a red light in 2005. Instead, she killed Silkworm drummer Michael Dahlquist, John Glick, guitarist of the Returnables and Doug Meis, drummer of Exo and the Dials. The court acquitted Sliwinski of first-degree murder but convicted the 25-year-old of lesser, reckless homicide charges for killing the three occupants of the car she rammed in 2005. The judge also rejected her insanity defense, though he acknowledged she was struggling with psychological problems. Sentencing guidelines place a maximum sentence of 10 years for the crime and prosecutors are promising to seek "the maximum sentence possible." Touch and Go Records (30 comments)

Fuckin liberal judge who was compassionate towards her "issues"...Bitch should have wrapped her lips around a gun, instead of MURDERING three innocent souls. She goddamn well knew what the fuck would happen to another car at 90 MPH. Take yourself out the proper way. Damn, this makes me angry.... 4+ Replies

it wasn't exactly the impact that killed them it was that she hit them so hard she drover their car(estimated upwards of 80mph) into oncoming traffic. 1+ Reply

I'm the last person to condone suicide and I'm certainly not pleased that she killed three other people but she came out alive, but I imagine her decision was done in a pretty shitty state of mind and done without consideration of the outcome. Certainly it doesn't excuse her actions but I highly doubt she was thinking clearly or soundly. It was probably a snap decision she made while driving, I doubt she planned for anyone besides her to get hurt or she wasn't even considering it. This act, while terrible, was not malicious in nature. 1+ Reply

It sucks you would feel that suicidal in the first place, but that's just fucking evil.

This story made me cry when I read it on the site 2 years ago, and I have no idea who any of the victims were. She should be put away for a lot longer than that. But what do I know? I'm just a sensative pussy.

Does that even count as fucking justice? Three people died, and all she gets is 10 fucking years? She should fucking rot in prison, it doesn't matter who the people were. 1+ Reply

what a load of fucking bullshit. she didn't run into a pole, she ran into another fucking car. I don't know the details of this case, so my opinion is strictly reactionary, but what the fuck?
