Jordan Cooper, who co-founded influential hardcore label Revelation with Ray Cappo of Youth of Today recently participated in a lengthy and detailed interview about the history of the seminal hardcore label.
Besides a nice history of the early hardcore scene, Jordan discusses the organic growing of the label from a place to release a Warzone 7-inch to how they very nearly signed New Found Glory, and the evolution of the early post-hardcore scene. I love Rev. They had a drop off there for a while but they have some signs of life again.

Revelation is without a doubt my favorite label. Texas is the Reason, Elliott, Shook Ones, Shai Hulud. All reasons why I love this label.

i used to have this poster that had the covers of every rev release lined up together, and one day i counted how many of them i had and i think it ended up being at least 40. so many great bands over the years on that label. GB, YOT, COS, judge, inside out, into another (SO under-rated), sense field, texas is the reason, quicksand, kiss it goodbye, elliott, drowningman, nerve agents...love that shit.

My first experience hearing about Revelation came from seeing that they put out the vinyl for Quicksand's "Manic Compression" which was a life-changing record for me.

I'm not sure that anyone who actually read the interview would get that they "very nearly signed New Found Glory." Sure, NFG submitted a demo.
