yeah wow, this is bad, especially given how much they said they'd never do it again after last time.

The addition of AM makes this warped tour instantly better than last years no matter what happens from here. Not that it says alot, but still.... Last years's lineup may have finally been the nail in the coffin for me. 4+ Replies

even if there are a couple of good bands, spending a whole day to see a good band play for a half hour, all the while having to deal with 12 year olds and pay way too much for a hot dog just doesn't seem worth it. unless i take acid. then, maybe... 4+ Replies

I hear this year's Vans Warped Tour is going green, I guess they heard that money grows on trees. hope they ship all those shitty bands overseas like they did the factories... 3+ Replies

Well, they're batting .500 so far. They keep this up and I might have to make a return appearance.

Meryl Streep is such a fuckin hottie. I hope she gets naked onstage and stagedives into us moshers hands! woot 2008!

do the guys in AM! own homes? if they do, what's the point? they would be wise to invest in Holiday Inn or Hilton.

it's burning and it's burning, it's burning, a fire inside that i just don't believe some call it anger, some say frustration but i think i call this big greed this time the circus has left without us and we could run away the fringe is the center now, hey boys that's great when i woke up in hawthorne, i took ocean down to the fairground to see everyone so beautiful that i drown in the waves of the haircuts spin kicks and jumps well i got my bottled water and my nachos, it came in under twenty bucks i got this bad taste in the back of my mouth from my time on the back of a bus this summer vacation, it's cheap and it's true it's ideals are intact, it's the best we can do this time you turn into your own enemy not sell outs but dictated economies show rest of comment 6+ Replies

if the Bronx & Against Me! played a regular tour togther I might actually pay to see AM! again because The Bronx would likely melt all the annoying people that listen to AM! for the catchy chunes yo. 5+ Replies

I posted before, but here it is again, anybody going to the Action Patrol reunion in Richmond on saturday? After all the love of Inquisition, I'm surprised there hasn't been a peep about this one. 2+ Replies

Im getting sick of against me! already, I dont care about the label bs but the fact that they keep having on shitty tours is starting to tick me off.
letmesleep (November 30, 2007)
As long as they keep moving down the AM! Bronx line this might actually be a tour worth seeing.

I bet Against Me! are still gonna play The Ocean even though they only have 30 minutes. 3+ Replies

in the words of some drunk: Well, I don’t really want to get into my aesthetic opinions of the bands or the tour, but I feel very strongly that the Warped Tour is no good for other reasons. See, there used to be this really great thing that happened every summer. All the big bands would gather up some cool support bands and hit the road and play club shows. Now, you figure at any given time there are maybe thirty big punk rock bands, each of those bands are taking two or three smaller bands on tour and playing in clubs. So, that’s (approximately) ninety bands that have cool tours, and thirty shows that support clubs and thirty nights for kids in various towns to have something cool to do. Now, all those big bands just play the warped tour. It’s one day, and it’s in some stupid fairground. As a result, small clubs are shutting down, small bands are forced to e show rest of comment 5+ Replies

I used to like the warped tour. I went to it two years straight. I used to think, yeah this is cool, all these bands get together in one place and maybe some fashion headed kid will become turned onto punk after seeing a band like Against Me or The Unseen or something. Now I have realized the whole fest revolves around money and really doesn’t represent anything about punk (the recycling tent is cool I guess). I will never go to a Warped Tour again unless Minor Threat, the original Misfits, or some other ridiculous old school band who I will never have a chance to see perform live are playing. I wonder if there has ever been a protest outside of the Warped Tour. Sounds like a good idea to me. My memories of warped tour will forever be Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Far from Finished, NOFX (just to see how shitty they really are when they play), and The Offspring. As much as I love Against Me! I still won't go to Warped Tour. It seems boring and completely absurd. Go to a massive show with a ton of stupid kids in the hot sun to see a thirty minute set while buying 6 dollar water. Sounds like FUN! 1+ Reply

Alriiiiiiiiight! I'll go for AM and the Bronx, don't give a shit about the other two.

It was kind of fun to see Against Me at Lollapalooza because nobody knew who they were so they had to win everyone over all over again. I can't imagine their half hour outdoor set when you're 200 yards away and there's a billion people there. This will be the first time they've come through Chicago and I haven't seen them in about four years. That includes seeing them twice last week.

xfightmenowx (November 30, 2007)
I just want to say this, I have never been to a Warped Tour, and I take pride in that. The fact that Against Me is playing is kind of depressing, since you know, they are complete chach-skis for selling out (not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but for an outspoken, nu-speak, politico punk outfit like them, they pretty much diminished themselves to a mere punky Pete Went with their recent record, and I think most can agree with that). Also, The Devil Wears Prada can blow me. Seriously. It's sickening to see these guys and bands like Boys Lik Girls play at something that has set grounds for bands like NOFX, The Unseen, Bad Religion, and many many more bands who are way more credible. But the Bronx is sweet... Yeah, I made this comment only to bash Against Me! and say the Bronx is sweet. It's an off day, what can I show rest of comment 4+ Replies

well, 2003(i think) was the last warped i went to. it was pretty decent excluding good charlotte,311, and alien ant farm. hell, me first, bouncing souls,h20,rancid, ect. i saw so many good bands in years prior to that one as well. VGS, hot water music, snapcase, bosstones, good riddance, no use, deviates, one man army, flogging molly, nofx, bad religion, the list goes on and on. 1+ Reply

i'm 26 and after a shitty breakup went from 181 to 166 pounds. i've stopped losing weight but i am still a little flabby. how can i harden up my mid section. crunches seem to be working only real slow and really it's not that much. i drink a lot of beer. is my only option to quit all the booze. i do lots of running. 4 miles 5 times a week. any suggestions on how to stop this plateau i've hit and get a little more hard/lean? 2+ Replies
