well the gist of it was that the shock of the fall killed her. green goblin says as much a few panels later. but admitted her threw in the "snap!" just to make the reader uncomfortable and to put in a put of moral ambiguity. when stan (who didn't notice it at the time) was told about the "snap!" later on he was like "oh man, i don't want to think about that".
