Naked Raygun announce holiday show / DVD screening

Naked Raygun has announced a limited capacity Christmas show in the hometown of Chicago on December 22nd. The band will be screening their new DVD What Poor Gods We Do Make: The Story and Music behind Naked Raygun and performing afterwards.

The veteran band is on the road now touring the US west coast with support from Swingin' Utters and Shot Baker.

I'd go to that December 22nd show but I already bought the CD/DVD so I'm just going to go see The Methadones & Chinese Telepohones at the Beat Kitchen instead.

Same here. I haven't been to Reggie's yet 'cause it's in fucking Chinatown and I live around the corner from the Beat Kitchen.

Both of you are crazy. You can see the Methadones a week later, or the week before. Rumor has it that they will be performing new songs at the Christmas show.

Naked Raygun's Congress performance this year didn't really excite me. They still sound pretty good but they aren't that exciting to watch live.

I will say that they need to play smaller venues like Reggie's because then at least the crowd interaction makes up for it like with the Sub-T show I went too.

In the years I lived in LA I don't think I heard Naked Raygun once on that bullshit station 103.1, I love how someone at that station pretends to know who Naked Raygun are enough to have them at a station event.
