Milo Aukerman shares the stage with fellow Descendents at Lemonheads show

Descendents fans in Lancaster, PA were recently treated to a surprise mini-reunion as front man Milo Aukerman took the stage with The Lemonheads at the Chameleon Club and performed an Angry Samoans cover. Aukerman's band mates Bill Stevenson and Karl Alvarez are currently on tour backing Lemonheads principal Evan Dando and performing songs from the self-titled record which they recorded together.

Thanks to all the people who sent this in. Even the smallest bit of Descendents news gets everyone around here excited.

I'd like to say I would, but no fucking way. I love me some Milo, I adore the Descendents, but making the trek to see him cover the Angry Samoans? No thanks, I'd rather drive to california and eat dinner with Metal Mike himself.

I don't think it was annouced Milo was going to be there or performing...It was announced that the two decendents were touring with Dando but not the other things...it would have been a nice suprise I think, I might be wrong.

I like to think of Milo as the 'Where's Waldo' kind of character. He just goes out to eat and runs into his old bandmates and starts singing whatever comes to mind. Him showing up to sing at the Lemonheads show was probably weird for all the Evan Dando fans that had no fucking clue who the Descendents/Milo/Angry Samoans are. I would have paid just to see the look on their faces.

It was great. It was the typical weekend Black Cat crowd all there to jam "ironically" to the Hall and Oates cover band, so it was great to see the looks on their faces when confronted with 25 minutes of Angry Samoans songs.

I don't know how people who like rock music don't like Angry Samoans.

Absolutely agree. I don't think rock records get any better than 'Back From Samoa' Its one of the best things ever. Granted you can buy everything in the unboxed set but as a single record I'd put 'Back From Samoa' against anything else.

This tour was sick by the way...very eclectic lineup but the lemonheads set is amazing, and in Tucson, Dando played a 45 minute set of solo stuff after the guys from the decendents left the stage. If there is still a date coming to your city, go!

The Rancid show @ the warfield in S.F. last year where Jesse came out to do "Unity" beats this and then some.

That truly would have been amazing. I was actually in Santa Cruz at the Me First and the Gimme Gimmes show that night. It was funny because Fat Mike made fun of some kids saying that he must not have known Rancid was playing or he'd be there. Then when he told the kid Rancid was playing he was like, "Aww, now I bummed him out. He totally wishes he was at Rancid".
Now I'm that kid and I wish I was at Rancid.

I'm from lancaster and chose not to go to this because I was short on cash from the holidays, what a mistake that was! anti-flag played there the next night too and my girlfriend went and talked to them and got pictures with them...

Last week I watched Dando weakly kick over his Orange cabinet twice. I don't think Dando was really capable of hurting the cabinet, but a roadie intervened to save if from Dando's rage anyway.

Probably the best part of the show.

I've been a Descendents fan for like 15 years now, I heard a rumor that this might happen when I wore my Descendents shirt to see Tiger Army @ The Chameleon so I got tickets on a rumor to see the show. Holy Shit it was true I saw them it was a very euphoric moment. I was wondering why i didn't recognize the song now I know. Milo was very intense on stage even his glasses came off for a moment. Now if i can only see them play a whole set on tour.

I'm really hoping for a Descendents reunion, if only because that means an ALL reunion is inevitable.
