Slick Shoes back together

After a period of inactivity, Slick Shoes have posted an update on their current status and upcoming plans:

Slick Shoes is back together with original members Ryan Kepke, Jackson Mould, Joe Nixon, and Jeremiah Brown. We also added guitarist Jordan Mould . Although we will not be touring extensively we will be playing shows and hope to record a new record in the near future. Don't forget to tell your friends.

The band released their last record, Far From Nowhere in 2003.

Whether or not you like Slick Shoes, you can't deny that they are definitely consistent. It's good to see they are back together and I hope they put out an awesome new record.

Biggest out of nowhere news of 2007. My copy of Far From Nowhere has been on the shelf for a long while, good record the recording was a little thin though.

freakin' rad. I just bought myself Far From Nowhere for Christmas and it's great. Carpenteria is one one of the best skate punk songs I've heard in the last five years.

meh... I liked some stuff by these guys in early high school and by the end of high school didn't really give a shit. My advice? Don't even bother. A Wilhelm Scream currently owns the melodic metallic-skate punk genre. Unless you're going to top it or even come close, please just don't bother and save a few millions pieces of plastic from being wasted.

Holy crap, Jackson is back. No offense to the rest of the guys, as they all brought their A-game, too, but none of the guitarists who replaced Jackson came close to touching what he did. Slick Shoes is back, baby, and they'd best OWN 2008!

I frequently watch evangelical Christian TV, especially TBN, for its comedic and shock value. This band's videos (or maybe there's just one?) are still in rotation on propaganda shows aimed at teenagers.

Seriously, fuck this band and fuck Abrahamic religion. This site wouldn't promote Resistance Records bands, so why is it promoting other flavors of fascism?
