Escapist have signed two California-based hardcore bands. Both No Truce and The Crucified will be releasing a split together soon.
No Truce hail from Salinas, CA and promise metal-tinged hardcore with influences ranging from Buried Alive, Madball, Integrity, and Sick of it All. Crucified call the North Bay of CA home and draw influence from All Out War, Merauder, and Ringworm as they unleash blistering metallic hardcore.
he split CD was recorded, mixed, and mastered with Andy Kugler and Sam Pura at The Panda Studios (Heavy Heavy Low Low, These Days, Lose None). Artwork and layout for the release is currently being developed by Ryan Patterson of Auxiliary Design (Coliseum, Deathcycle, The Suicide File)

Unleashing blistering metallic hardcore? S'been done. I'd rather hear a band coax out some lukewarm wood-paneled hardcore.

Way to list the wrong band and post the wrong link. Good editor you have here...

Um.
The Crucified was already a band.
A hardcore band.
From California.
They released two CDs on the then-fledgling Tooth And Nail Records in the mid-90s.
Change your name.
Seriously, how hard is it for bands to do a search of the internet to make sure their idea for a band name hasn't been used before? I've run across two bands in the past year who named themselves Cross My Heart, and there are stock names, like Break Of Day, that turn up a multiple page list when searched on myspace. Here's an idea: When you go to register your new band on myspace, and twenty other bands have the name already, PICK A DIFFERENT NAME.
