Tours: The Vandals (US, Toronto)

Prior to their upcoming Australian shows with Pennywise and Sum 41, The Vandals will be headed out on a short March tour of the United States with a stop in Canada.

Rumour has it the band is working on a new rarities record, with their previous studio album, Hollywood Potato Chip released in 2004.

Just checked on Ticketmaster and the Vandals are playing here in Chicago with The Scissors and Counterpunch.

i'm pretty sure that ticketmaster owns ticketweb, if you check out dates on ticketmaster for a band that is playing at venues that uses ticketweb. ticketmaster will link you to ticketweb

You are correct, ticketmaster owns ticketweb.

Yes there's no escape from the corporations.

But you can also go to Reggie's Rock Club and head on upstairs to Record Breakers and they sell tickets for shows at their venue with no sur-charge.

I like them. Let's Talk About Leftovers comes to mind as a particularly good one. Not being into vinyl, I also liked 45 or 46 Songs That Weren't Good Enough To Go On Our Other Albums...........

its a waste of fucking time.....how about make a new album? or tour more? instead of wasting my time with garbage you've all ready made...

especially a vandals rarities....although i like them and all, they do have a lot of crappy filler songs. i can only imagine a rarities album being a crap load of fillers that werent good enough for albums

Hollywood Potato Chip was a massive (imo) step in the right direction after Look What I Almost Stepped In and Internet Dating Superstuds

i completely agree with everything you just said.

hollywood potato chip is so good. having an insane through the roof upper such as "don't stop me now" and a complete through the floor downer such as "i am crushed" coexisting perfectly on the same album is a feat unto itself.

I actually liked Internet Dating Superstuds better than HPC. I think "Where's Your Dignity" and "Tears of the Albacore" are some of their better songs since Hitler Bad, Vandals Good. Actually, 43210-1 was really cool too.

Hollywood Potato Chip sucks pretty hard compared to the genius and fun of the three previous albums. There are a few songs that I really enjoy, like "Crushed" and "I Guess I'll Take You Back", but most of them are forgettable and lyrically and vocally quite bad.

While I didn't think it completely sucked, I agree w/ you. "How they getcha" was awesome. But you're right. The lyrics and vocals were not up to par compared to other albums.

Hitler Bad, Vandals Good is a masterpiece. Just thought I'd throw that out there. It's actually kinda suprising that it didn't blow up, it's amazingly catchy.

Goddamnit! Why do they have to be in Chicago the same day as The Tossers? Granted, The Tossers play much more often, but I already got tickets to that!

2) How about a new full-length already, huh? It's been nearly 4 fucking years! They used to pop 'em out every 1 to 2 years. Granted, "Hollywood Potato Chip" wasn't their best (or even close to it), but COME ON!
GIVE US NEW STUFF!

The Vandals rarely do headlining shows outside of the west coast, why would you skip them for The Tossers when they play Chicago all the time? Just sell the ticket to some smuck.

i liked hollywood potato chip a bit. after the 4th track it starts to go downhill. i wish it would have kept up the momentum. i really like live fast diahhrea and the quickening. the album was much better than internet dating superstuds. the next disc should sound like the quickening and have like 2 or 3 songs that sound like they would be on hitler bad, vandals good. that would be perfect.
