The Gaslight Anthem to premier new EP on radio this weekend

Gaslight Anthem will be premiering their highly anticipated new EP and follow up to Sink or Swim this Sunday on The Punkyard.

The show kicks off at 10pm on Sunday and can be heard here or via 06.3 in Monmouth County/106.5 in Ocean County.

The new record is titled Senor And The Queen and is due out January 29, 2008. You can find the artwork here.

also, i found 6 songs by them on soulseek i had never heard before. they are called

There Is A Thunder (out in the distance)

they all kick a lot of ass..i was wondering if anyone knew if these were on the new ep?

Those are actually from their old EP back when they were known as This Charming Man.

Those are old songs when the band was called This Charming Man.

I don't know what members were in that.

that is not the ep. the ep has senor and the queen, where for art thou elvis, blue jeans and white t shirts, and say i won't (recognize).

i have not heard of those songs, but my guess is that you are listening to the This Charming Man demo...its an earlier version of the band with at least one different member. i would actually really like to get my hands on that.

Oh snap, that early version of "1930" (entitled "She Coulda Raised the Titanic") is pretty neat, although the break right after intro totally kills the momentum.

compared to the album those songs are a little lackluster... good, but not great... with the exception of bleeder of course which is incredible...

I really wish I knew some information since Sabot Productions hasn't really kept up with any news of a pre-order date for it. Actually I don't believe there is one source where you can pre-order right now when that's kind of ridiculous since the E.P. comes out Tuesday! So much for technically having a pre-order, I guess just pick it up when it's released!

I have a feeling this album is going to be a victim of harsh criticism due to the explosion of their debut album. It's going to be compared to it directly and I think a lot of fans are going to feel underwhelmed because of that.
