Streams: Drag The River: “You Can't Live That Way”

Earlier this month, Alt-country supergroup Drag The River released their final album, You Can't Live That Way. The band features alumni of ALL, Armchair Martian and Hot Rod Circuit. Their label, Suburban Home, was generous enough to provide us with a full album stream of the record and you can check it out on their Punknews.org Profile.

Too bad the only store in town that carried Drag The River was closed down Thanksgiving. With that, I say please come back to Moorhead, Minnesota Cheapo Disc.

Also, Drag The River is still awesome!

Man I fucking loved that place when I was in college. I spent a good percentage of my financial aid there. Is Discontent still around? That place was great as well before it started focusing more on clothes and bongs rather than music.

Discontent is still there for some reason. It's more of a clothing store now AND bong supplier. But you can still get Ticketmaster tickets there still. Also, there's a store in downtown Fargo called Orange Records. Good selection of music, but too damn expensive. Not the best replacement for Cheapo because they don't get that much in new releases like Cheapo did.

this is the best drag the river album ever. i mean, seriously brookfield, fleeting porch of tide, br00tal, caleb's grave.. god damn. and Tobacco fields, fuck is that a great song. hopefully this is not their last album, as it really shows the band hitting their stride.

My favorites are "Lizzy" "Rangement" and "Death of the Life of the Party". Wouldn't really say there's a dud on the album though.
