The Briggs, A Wilhelm Scream on BBC Radio 1 Punk Show

On this week's BBC 1 Punk Rock Radio show, The Briggs and A Wilhelm Scream are the guests. The show's host Mike Davies let us know about the proceedings:

On this weeks Radio 1 Punk Show we have an acoustic session and interview from The Briggs from our LA studio. A Wilhelm Scream are Under The Influence - playing DJ and choosing 3 of the songs that influenced them the most, plus we've our record chart 'The Outlaw Anthems' and news. It will be available to stream until 4am next Tuesday 5th March (UK Time)

Was underwhelmed by AWS last night. Have I just caught them on a bad night and they're actually really good live?

Well I can't tell alot from your videos to be honest. If you're up in the front singing every word, they're amazing, but who isn't in that situation? Really though, of the 5 times I've seen them they've sounded dead on every time, so I guess you just caught a bad night, or have insane standards.

Also, that song isn't Check Request Denied, it's We Build This City! (On Debts and Booze).

cheers fella - can't believe i got the wrong title.

yeah - everyone says they're really good but i suppose i was just hoping for too much. If they'd have played "dreaming of throwing up" i'd have probably been singing their praises more.

i have only seen them twice. the first time the sound quality in the venue was terrible, but it seemed like they were playing at point. i was blown away the second time.

I saw them in Edinburgh on Saturday and they were amazing. The sound was pretty poor but that was the venues fault. They were totally on the money and they were so fucking into it that I couldn't help but go nuts.

saw them in birmingham earlier tonite - one the most amazing gigs i've ever been to, despite the place being half empty! i've never seen so much energy on one stage, and i was stood in front of trevor most of the gig - i've never seen anyone else so obviously and visibly enjoying being on stage as that guy, what a legend!

I listened to it non stop when it came out until I couldn't listen to it anymore. I just went back to it today and will probably do the same thing all over again.

In my opinion, the three bands that most influenced AWS are: Lagwagon, Iron Maiden, and Hot Water Music.
