"On Friday, March 8th, the Rollins Band, The Original Sinners [Exene Cervenka's band], and Wayne Kramer of the MC5 will be playing a benefit show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. The purpose of this show is to raise money and awareness for the West Memphis Three. The West Memphis Three is a group of young men who were unjustly tried and convicted of the murders of three young boys in West Memphis, Arkansas in 1993. Right now they are trying to win a new trial, so two of the men can be released and one of them, Damien Echols, can be spared the death penalty. Money is desperately needed to pay for their overwhelming legal costs. Please go to www.WM3.org to check out all the details on this case. Tickets are on sale now and are available from the Troubadour box office and through Ticketmaster. Doors open at 8pm. Along with a great show, there will also be a West Memphis Three information table, and a silent auction will be hosted featuring autographed items from the Rollins Band, The Supersuckers, Exene, and others. You will also be able to purchase the West Memphis Three Benefit CD which features Tom Waits, Long Beach Dub All-Stars, Rocket From The Crypt, The Supersuckers with Eddie Vedder, Zeke, and other great bands.(deadontheweb.com)"

I would pay $100 to see rollins in a small place like that, but I'm not gonna forge out the dough if I don't believe in the cause. The website for it is very unorganized, and I do not want to support murderers, perhaps the court is wrong- they are often, but I'd like to know what the crime was and what the evidence was before I go out and buy these $30 tickets.

it takes about 2 hours to read www.wm3.org if you read all the lawyer notes and all of the trial stuff its pretty clear these guys got screwed also there are 2 documentrys out there that HBO did that are pretty good Ive seen and read all the transcripts and all the lawyer stuff and the videos and these kids are innocent just on the fact that the teeth marks found in the victims match none of those accused. And thats hard to fake.

The videos of the HBO documentaries are available for rent at most Blockbusters. They're definitely worth watching if you don't know the story. The first one is less biased than the second, which heavily points the finger at the court system and surrounding cast of characters. Anyone that felt that Abdul guy got a bad shake should check this out, it's even more outraging. |

the website for the "WM3" does not clearly explain what they are accused of and why they believe they should be found innocent. very poor organization for whatever their cause is.
