Insubordination Fest 2008 starting to come together

Insubordination Records have begun confirming details for the upcoming 2008 edition of the pop-punk extravaganza Insubordination Fest. The event has been tentatively scheduled for June 26th, 27th and 28th in Baltimore. Specific details are expected to be announced in March.

This past December the first two bands were confirmed for the event: The Queers and a reunion from 80s-era Lookout! act Sweet Baby. The band was also an early project from Samiam's Sergie Loobkoff. No word on which lineup will be appearing yet.

2007's edition of the fest featured Ben Weasel, the Mr.T Experience, Groovie Ghoulies, Teenage Bottlerocket, the Methadones, the Apers, the Ergs and many more.

I'm sure I'll be hitting this up again this year. Last year was pretty fun except for the power outage. What an awful thing to happen at a music fest.

i dont wanna pay more than 250 for the whole thing with food and all.

Hmm, maybe. That's a pretty low price though, might not advise staying in the areas you'd get a room for super cheap.

I think there's a youth hostel in Mt. Vernon area which is cheap though. That's close enough and safe.

I'll likely be able to house a few people but chances are I'll be in a different apartment by then and won't know for sure about that until May-ish.

Be at the Asian Man tour or Insubordination Fest? Doesn't matter, I'll probably be at both.

Insubordination tickets sold out crazy fast last year though so keep an eye on that. I imagine this will be at the Ottobar again, not sure where else in Baltimore they'd put this show. Better be at least so I can continue staying intoxicated all weekend walking back and forth between the shows and my apartment, haha.

I don't know any of the bartenders there personally, but I'd say there's a good chance I'd recognize them.

Pretty sure I see one of the bartenders there walking her dog pretty often around my neighborhood.

$890 + ~$110/month utilities

you can get one bedrooms around here for around $700 though i believe

I hope it's at Ottobar again this year. I live 3 blocks away from it, and I have a pass to see all the shows there this year for free. That would rule.

Last year was super fun. I'm definitely going again this year.

Y'all should start saving up now. There's a lot of mid-price/cheap places if you look closely enough. Also, you should get plan on taking cabs and the bus. Besides travel expenses, you can have a really swank fest weekend for $500- $300 for accomodation, $200 for transport, food, drink. If you can knock down the $300, you're good for a lot more 7"s/shirts/sick sick burgers.

Will Sick Sick Burgers be there again? Mmmmm!
