Whole Wheat Bread announces new bassist, some album details

Whole Wheat Bread has announced their new bassist, one Will Frazier of Jacksonville, Florida. He will be on the road with the three-piece this March for their previously announced tour with Authority Zero.

Whole Wheat Bread is still working on the follow up to 2006's Punk Life. The new record is expected this summer. The album has Travis Huff (Armor For Sleep, Yellowcard, Pharcyde) producing and features contributions from Mike McColgan of Street Dogs and rappers Lil Jon and Murs.

Saying all black people are criminals are then yelling "JOKE!" doesn't make it okay to say. Come to where I live and say that, stop hiding behind a computer screen and cries of "oh, stop being so PC".

Think about what you're saying before you say it. Think about what it's like for a black person to be reading a site and everytime a band with fellow black people are mentioned, everyone starts making racist, demeaning jokes. It's fucked up. Grow up.

It's more of an allusion to the fact that WWB's original bassist was arrested and is currently incarcerated for armed robbery. His race has nothing to do with it.

Love this band. Energetic live show, and definitely worth catching if you ever have the chance. Really looking forward to their new record ....

I think that being so quick to pull the race card is just as fucked up. Classifying someone as racist with absolutely no evidence except for assumptions adds to the problem.

As was stated above, this joke had nothing to do with race, and everything to do with the fact that this band has been historically in trouble with the law for theft.

While I agree w/ some of what you said, would you say the same if it were the reverse? Because as we all know, black people never make fun of or repeat damaging stereotypes about white people.

There's a really fucked up perception in this country that only "the white man" can be racist. Fuck that. Everybody wants to give black people a pass on saying anything racist (especially black comics, Chapelle and Rock could say ANYTHING they want to). Well fuck that too, they should be held accountable as well.

Sorry, didn't mean to rant on you when you actually made some really legit points. I just hope you remember to call the game the same way at both ends of the court, which is after all, what it's all about.

Dropkick Murphy's are one of the consistantly great live bands out there right now. My favorite DKM stuff was with Mike McColgan anyway, so it made perfect sense that the the New Dropkick Murphy's would be just as good, if not better and to me, I'm right. I see them whenever I can, can't wait for the new album
