Media: The Ergs: "Hang Up (Parasites)" and "I Was Only Kidding (Weird Al)"

The Ergs! have two new tracks on their myspace page. The first, "Hang Up" is an Parasites cover while the second is a live cover of Weird Al's "I Was Only Kidding" recorded live at the Middle East.

You can find "Hang Up" and "I Was Only Kidding" on their MySpace page..

The band released Upstairs/Downstairs last year.

Yes it is. I always really like the Parasites for the first 10-15 minutes of whenever I'm listening to them but then get a little bored. They're a perfect 7" band though.

Their set at the Insub Fest was great with The Ergs! as the backing band. The only stuff I own by them are 7"s, so I haven't gotten sick of them yet.

I love how they have that Dirty Work clip on their page and then the picture in the album. More people need to appreciate the genius of that movie.

All of you Dirty Work lovers should check out this band the Hamiltons from Canada. They play straight up ramones-core pop punk, but all of their songs are about Dirty Work.

That middle east show (w/Gaslight, LaGrecia& Loved Ones) sold out 3-4 days before the show which sucked. I was pretty hungover from Darkbuster the night before and I figured missing it would not be too bad, stay in and watch the Klitschko fight....boy did that fight suck ass.

I didn't realize that the Ergs' drummer was also their main vocalist until I saw them in NYC a week ago. That gave me a whole new level of respect for this band. Bad. Ass.
